3 packed cups fresh basil leaves
6 cloves garlic, peeled
3/4 cup avocado oil
1/2 cup shelled hemp seeds (aka hemp hearts)
1 teaspoon fine Himalayan salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper (optional)
Place all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor. Pulse until all of the basil and garlic is minced.
Blend on low for 20 to 30 seconds to smooth it out just a bit and bring the texture of the sauce together. Use a spatula to scrape it all out into a glass jar with a lid. Store in the fridge for up to 10 days.
